Indhira Cermeño is a venezuelan who, like many others, emigrated from her country fleeing the presidential regime. Today she wants to tell her story from her personal experience as an immigrant in United States.
This woman is an example of persistence and hope to achieve everything you want and much more. But nothing is easy; there are always challenges to achieve dreams, as she herself says: “It doesn’t matter the country where we go, because it is the people, fundamentally, who determine success”.
Indhira prepared herself to achieve her goals. She is a lawyer from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and has an extensive professional resume that is reflected in several specializations in Registry Law, in which she has more than 20 years of experience, Commercial Law, from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, and Tax Management, from the Universidad de Carabobo.
Cermeño is about to complete a doctorate in Education at the Universidad Pedagógica Libertador, which she defines as her commitment to education and the desire to support others on the road to success, personal development, and the improvement of their lives through knowledge.
Her academic experience combined with her investigative spirit has allowed her to generate solutions to positively impact the lives of many immigrant families.
Her work has been tireless, supporting those who, like her, decided to put down roots in a new territory, not only offering legal assistance, but also the tools to face the challenges of the migratory process.
This is how the idea of the book ‘Un viaje, un sueño: La conquista de un futuro desde la mirada del inmigrante’ [tr: ‘A Journey, a Dream: The Conquest of a Future from the Immigrant’s Perspective’] was born. The book is an exhaustive investigation of the historical journey of immigration in the United States, in which the author analyzes the different immigration policies that have shaped the country and examines the current legal framework that defines the experience of those who seek the American dream.
With simple and descriptive language, Cermeño leads the reader to conclude that any journey can become a dream. The Venezuelan writer offers a detailed guide for those who, due to multiple circumstances, must begin a new life abroad.
Sometimes, life is full of challenges and circumstances that allow one to explore new horizons, facing challenges, but also allowing one to adapt to an unfamiliar environment. This book is precisely an invitation to reinvent oneself in order to achieve the well-being, stability and the so longed for tranquility.
The author tries to reflect the reality of millions of immigrants who, like her, all over the world, overcome challenges, but also find success in their new lives.
It is not easy to leave your family, your friends and even everything you have worked for years behind. In the face of vicissitudes, and for the sake of finding a better future, adapting to a new life in an unfamiliar context will always be a challenge.
Currently, the lawyer has two companies: Immigration Training School and IC Immigration Services. The first is a school that trains professionals in the immigration field, where she shares her knowledge and experience to help others understand the legal immigration system in the United States.
Meanwhile, the second company, IC Immigration Services, provides direct advice to individuals and families in their own immigration processes, offering specialized and human legal support.
The life of this Venezuelan woman has been marked by her commitment to justice and helping many immigrants to overcome the grief when they leave their home, providing them with the necessary help to secure their future in a new country.
